An infant presented with intrauterine growth retardation, retarded psychomotor development, and seizures. The patient was a term-born infant from nonconsanguineous parents, without family history of ocular or neurologic disorders, and was not exposed to supplemental oxygen after birth. Leukokoria was noted, prompting ophthalmologic examination, which revealed retinal vascular anomalies and capillary telangiectasias (Figure 1A), requiring laser photocoagulations. These abnormal vessels leaked fluid, causing retinal detachment.
