To the Editor I would like to congratulate Howard et al1 on their article that addresses differences in sex and race, issues that have been systemically overlooked in medical research. It is applaudable and necessary that this article promotes a discussion around sex differences and race differences in medical research, considering there exists significant race and sex bias in research studies.2,3
