Abstract

The authors have provided a "reliable treatise on the anatomy of the eye and orbit in these (domestic) animals." This work is based with minor exceptions on original dissections. It is well organized and superbly illustrated. The first 5 chapters deal with the general characteristics of vertebrate ocular anatomy, and successive chapters were devoted specifically to the dog, the cat, the horse, cattle, sheep, the pig, the goat, and the rabbit. The book is intended primarily for veterinarians and experimental ophthalmic surgeons. It has a remote interest for neurologists.
