The book represents the complete collection of papers presented at an international symposium which took place on Nov 9 and 10, 1960, in West Berlin. All of the papers are in German but there are English, French, and Russian translations of the summaries. The majority of the papers deal with the development of the skull and with congenital anomalies of the skull. A few of the papers are devoted to pneumoencephalography, and there is one paper representing case reports of a few congenital anomalies of the brain. For those who are not able to read German the majority of the English translations are inadequate. The illustrations are of fairly good quality, and there is an alphabetical index of authors and subjects. The publication is useful for those who are particularly interested in skull development and anomalies; it is doubtful that those interested in pediatric neurology would find it of much
