This volume presents a series of chapters on important modern topics in Neurology. All of the contributors are authorities in the areas which they have reviewed. Many of the chapters concern therapeutic problems, which include current treatments of cerebrovascular disease, epilepsy, and pain as well as discussions of the use of adrenal steroids, tranquilizers, and hallucinogenic drugs.
The material is clearly presented. The reader will find digests of the current literature on each topic, and he will also find complete references in order that he can pursue the details of recent investigations in these fields. In the areas covered, this volume provides a very valuable supplement to the material available in current textbooks of Neurology.
