This well written and well illustrated volume is a brief survey of the basic neurological sciences. Divided into four sections—neuroanatomy, neuro-physiology, neurochemistry, and neuropsychology, the material is presented so that the beginning student can get a bird's eye view of structure and function of the nervous system. For those desiring an initial introduction to this field, especially if they are working in related areas it is highly recommended. The student planning a serious career in any of the neurological sciences will find this volume of limited value.
