This volume presents the proceedings of a meeting held in April 1964 under the auspices of the National Parkinson Foundation.
Attempting to take an overall view of parkinsonism, the conference had as invited participants a number of well-known investigators in clinical as well as experimental aspects of extrapyramidal disorders. Reports relating to clinical, anatomical, pathophysiological, biochemical, pharmacological, and surgical aspects of Parkinson's disease are included. Unfortunately, in trying to cover the entire field none of these are presented in depth and one only catches a glimmer of the newer development relating to parkinsonism. For those who have not had an opportunity to stay abreast of the activities in this field it is a useful volume.
