This abbreviated neurologic text is now in its second edition. Dr. Francis Forster has designed this manual for use in medical students' initial indoctrination in clinical neurology and for other paramedical personnel desiring supplementary information. The author has drawn on his wide teaching experience and utilized it efficiently in providing a concise text.
The manual of 218 pages retains its Original division into three initial chapters dealing with the history, examination, and neurological diagnostic tests. Subsequent chapters cover the major clinical categories encountered in neurologic practice with appropriate allotment of space. The major differences from the first edition include more emphasis on diagnostic tests such as isotopic scanning and some revisions of more recent clinical syndromes such as encountered with reverse cerebral blood flow.
