International Symposium on Rehabilitation in Head Injury.—
The International Symposium on Rehabilitation in Head Injury will be held in Göteborg, Sweden, Sept 13 to 15, 1971. The symposium is held under the auspices of Problem Commission of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation of the World Federation of Neurology as their third symposium.The main topics are as follows: (1) the course of restitution of brain injury in the early and late stages with regard to adequate rehabilitation measures; (2) the posttraumatic syndrome and other psychic symptoms, their prognosis, and treatment; (3) dynamic factors in whiplash trauma, prophylactic measures; rehabilitation; (4) certain focal symptoms and their treatment, such as epilepsy with special regard to the driver's license hemiparesis and other motor deficiencies with special regard to technical aids, housing, and community planning; (5) health organization with regard to neurological, neurosurgical, and medical resources for rehabilitation.The presidium includes Prof Tore Broman, Department
