This second edition of roentgenologic diagnosis of the skull should help all who are bewildered by the shadows of the cranial bones. The book discusses normal variants, the diagnosis of disease of the skull, affections of the cranium in general disease, increased intracranial pressure, intracranial calcifications, and skull fractures. Special diagnostic problems of the base, temporal mandibular joint, sella turcica, temporal bone, and including the jaws and teeth are also extensively reviewed. A separate chapter is devoted to technical aspects. Though newer techniques, such as tomography, are not included, this is no drawback for the clinician who is eager to extract all available information from routine skull x-ray films. The book has beautiful illustrations and should be useful to both neurologists and radiologists.
