Abstract

Three patients with parkinsonism treated with levodopa had abnormal pre-levodopa and stabilization levodopa electroencephalograms with focal sharp and spikewave activity. There were no seizures and no significant EEG changes with levodopa treatment. This suggests that levodopa may not aggravate a preexisting seizure tendency, as suggested by the EEG.
