—The interesting report by Dr Sotaniemi regarding the use of valproic acid in the treatment of "nonepileptic" myoclonus (Archives 1982;39:448-491) provides helpful suggestions regarding the treatment of myoclonus. Contrary to the comments of the author, the use of valproic acid in the treatment of postanoxic myoclonus has been reported.1
