To the Editor.  —I wish to respond to the lead article in the October 1983 issue of the Archives by David Goldblatt, MD.1I certainly have to respect Dr Goldblatt for his concern about English grammar and his desire that journal articles conform to the rules. However, like most subscribers, I receive the Archives not to read sarcastic, vituperative, and haughty reviews of elementary-school English but, rather, to learn about the latest work in neurology. In view of the woefully long delays between new medical developments and the actual publication of reports on those developments, I have to question the propriety of granting valuable "top billing" space to Dr Goldblatt's diatribe. If his thoughts on grammar are important enough to appear in a journal dedicated to the subject of neurology, they really belong in the LETTERS TO THE EDITOR section, where I am sure my words will be relegated.
