This volume is one of 10 books in a series that covers magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of various organ systems. It may be purchased separately or with the entire collection. Of the three volumes that discuss MRI of the brain, two deal with nonneoplastic disease and one with neoplastic disease. This book is one of the two that cover nonneoplastic disease.
The book consists of 100 cases in which the reader is provided a series of MRI images and a one- or two-sentence medical history. A summary of the findings, the diagnosis, a discussion, and the references follow immediately. Case material comes from midfield and high-field MRI systems, but the individual cases are not labeled with the field strength of the magnet on which they were obtained. The photographs are well presented and the quality of the images ranges from good to excellent. The discussions are appropriate and informative. The
