Abstract

To the Editor.  —Having read Hachinski's brief treatise on "The Upgoing Thumb Sign," in the April 1992 issue of the Archives1 and his suggestion that it is a phenomenon analogous to the "upgoing toe," I respectfully suggest that we also apply an appropriate eponym. From now on, we should refer to the Hachinski-Babinski sign. Really, the rhyme is just too good to resist.
