The editors intend this book to explain a new approach to neurotoxicology, one that would
emphasize the environmental and occupational causes of damage to the nervous system in humans, one that would explain to the younger clinician or scientist how to examine a patient and how to differentiate between organic and toxin-induced disease, one that would enable him/her to interpret epidemiological data, and one that would enable an understanding of the complexities of regulatory testing of new compounds.
