Donepezil Use in Down Syndrome

We would like to comment on the recent article by Lott et al1 regarding acetylcholinesterase inhibitors for the treatment of dementia in adults with Down syndrome (DS). We feel that this work adds to the existent data related to the use of such agents in DS, an area of study initiated by our group and followed by data from others.2-6
