This book sets out to offer a summary of the rapidly expanding field of neuroimmunology, an area in which significant advances have been made in recent years thanks to contributions from both basic and clinical research. In addition, this book aims to fill a gap that exists among the currently available neurological textbooks. At present, it is possible to find several excellent textbooks that deal with topics such as multiple sclerosis, central nervous system (CNS) viral infections, or immunology. However, there is currently no up-to-date textbook that focuses on neuroimmunology, inflammatory disorders of the CNS, or our basic knowledge of neuroinflammation.
