Sex as a Prognostic Factor for Surgical Outcome in Mesial Temporal Lobe Epilepsy—Reply

We appreciate the interest taken by Bianchin et al in our recently published article. As mentioned in the discussion, our findings of a sex difference in outcome do not have a clear explanation. Although the main objective of the study was to explore if there were racial/ethnic differences in seizure outcome following temporal lobe epilepsy surgery, the findings of sex difference in outcome was something that needed to be reported.
