The Archives of Neurology has initiated Online First as a means to bring our readers important new articles in an expedited manner. Each month, 5 Online First articles will be published online within weeks of their acceptance, followed by print publication. The most exciting and important articles we receive and accept will appear quickly. This new initiative is part of our efforts to expedite the peer review process and reduce the time from acceptance to publication for important science that is of great interest to us all. Manuscripts for Online First are selected that address mechanisms of disease pathogenesis, genetics, genomics of neurological diseases and normal brain functions (neuromics), neurotherapeutics, commentaries on contemporary clinical issues, in-depth neurological reviews, clinical trials, and studies that emphasize translational research from the bench, bringing therapies to our patients.
