Deconstructing Clinical Trials—Help From Oncology Value Frameworks

The practice of oncology relies heavily on clinical trials. Trainees are faced with an overwhelming amount of data that must be meticulously critiqued to provide guidance to patients when deciding on the “right” therapy. This can pose a considerable challenge, particularly in an era where molecular oncology forms the foundation of many modern treatment regimens, and the basic science of oncology demands a trainee’s attention.
