To the Editor Dr Song and colleagues1 assessed the relationship between fiber intake and colorectal cancer. The authors conclude that higher intake of fiber was associated with a lower risk of colorectal cancer–specific and overall mortality. However, we would like to point out several concerns because it has been generally difficult to recommend higher intake of fiber after surgery to secure good enough digestion.
