I have become acutely aware of my body. Everything it does, automatically, without a command. The blinking of my eyes. My tears. My fingernails that have grown long. The intricacies of the cells that make up my skin. The feeling of my clothes. The glorious taste of food. The warmth of my hands rubbing together. Sensing the beauty of nature. Breathing.
I have been in this body for a very long time. It has served me well, but it has also failed me on numerous occasions. Each moment that it works as it should, I fully appreciate.
