After a hiatus of 23 years, one of us (A.M.) recalculated the table
we devised as a fitting methodology for Fresnel prisms1
(Figure 1). These prisms come in
fixed amounts, yet clinicians generally require accurate vertical numbers
and flexible horizontal corrections. This table was devised in an attempt
to be vertically precise with obliquely applied prisms. Corrections are not
large, but a few represent 1 or more prism diopters.
