This text represents a complete rewrite of the third edition. The authors,
along with more than 20 other contributors and reviewers, have assembled a
book with the goal of providing a practical and organized approach to fitting
rigid and soft contact lenses. It covers everything from basic anatomy and
physiology of the cornea to the use of contact lenses for medical and cosmetic
treatment. The book provides a historical background on contact lens materials
and instrumentation, as well as an overview of new materials and technologies.
