GENERAL NEWS

Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary Alumni Meeting.—The Alumni Association of the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary held its annual meeting at Boston on October 30 and 31. Clinics and papers on eye, ear, nose and throat subjects were given by members of the consulting, visiting and resident staff during the two days, followed by the annual dinner on the evening of the second day.

Ophthalmologic Exhibit.—Application for space for an ophthalmologic exhibit at the next session of the American Medical Association should be filed by those interested no later than Jan. 10, 1932, with Dr. Parker Heath, 1025 David Whitney Building, Detroit.

The John Markle Eye Clinic.—The Seamen's Church Institute of New York announces the opening of a second clinic for serving merchant seamen. The first clinic was opened in July, 1931, to render dental service. The second clinic will be known as
