Dr. Thomas B. Holloway, 1819 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, has been elected a member of the Board of Directors of the National Society for the Prevention of Blindness to succeed the late Dr. George S. Derby, of Boston. Dr. Holloway has served at Wills Hospital, Philadelphia General Hospital and the Maternity Hospital in Philadelphia. He is a co-author (with Dr. George de Schweinitz) of "Pulsating Exophthalmos." He is a member of the American Medical Association, American Ophthalmological Society and American Academy of Ophthalmology and Oto-Laryngology.

Prof. E. Seidel, of Heidelberg, has been called to Jena as director of the Eye Clinic, to replace Professor Löhlein.

Prof. J. W. Nordenson, of Uppsala, has succeeded Prof. A. Dalén (July, 1931) as director of the University Eye Clinic at Stockholm.
