National Society for the Prevention of Blindness.
—The annual conference of the National Society for the Prevention of Blindness will be held in New York, Oct. 26-28, 1939. Headquarters for the conference will be the Astor Hotel. The society will be glad to make reservations in advance at this or at other adjacent hotels for anybody planning to participate.Arrangements will be made for extending the facilities of the society's offices at Rockefeller Center, 50 West Fiftieth Street, to all visitors.
Committee to Conserve Vision.
—The Indiana State Medical Association has appointed a committee on conservation of vision. The resolution authorizing the creation of the committee outlines its duties as follows: (1) to encourage ocular hygiene, (2) to disseminate knowledge for the prevention of blindness and the conservation of vision, (3) to acquaint the public and particularly industries and schools concerning proper illumination and other protective measures for
