Pan-American Congress of Ophthalmology.
—Through the W. K. Kellogg Foundation, of Battle Creek, Mich., the Pan-American Congress of Ophthalmology announces the establishment of an international graduate student exchange. With the cooperation of the Department of State of the United States, twenty-five graduate physicians from Latin America will be brought to the United States for graduate training in ophthalmology. They will be assigned to seventeen of the leading ophthalmic institutions to serve as accessory residents for a minimum of one year and longer if they show unusual ability. The traveling expenses to and from the country of origin will be paid, and each man will receive $1,000 a year from the foundation.The Latin American physician will be chosen in each country by a committee composed of the dean of the medical school, the professor of ophthalmology and an already existing committee of the American legation, under the supervision
