ARMY
In section 1, requirements indicated under the headings "Vision," "Refraction," "Color Vision" and "Muscles" are unchanged except for the following regulation, which applies to enlisted personnel, general service :Binocular vision (both eyes open) of not less than 20/40, without glasses, provided vision in the more defective eye is not less than 20/70 without glasses, correctable or uncorrected, and provided the defective vision is not due to organic disease.Section 2 is unchanged.Section 3 is unchanged except for the authority for the new regulation in section 1.Letter from the War Department, Army Service Forces, Office of the Surgeon General, Washington, D.
