—The fourth meeting of the Central Illinois Society of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology was held at the Hotel Orlando, Decatur, Ill., on April 27 and 28, 1946.The following papers were presented : Saturday, April 27 : "Perforating Ocular Injuries," Dr. Perry E. Duncan; "A Full Plastic Eye Implant" and "Exophthalmos," Dr. A. D. Ruedemann ; "Diagnosis and Treatment of Ménière's Disease" and "Selection of Cases for the Fenestration Operation in Otosclerosis," Dr. Henry L. Williams.Sunday, April 28: "Treatment of External Otitis," Dr. Meredith Ostrom ; "Headaches from the Standpoint of the Otolaryngologist," Dr. H. L. Williams; "Treatment of Lesions of the Cornea," Dr. A. D. Ruedemann.At the business meeting, at 1 p. m. on April 28, Dr. Stuart Broadwell Jr. was elected president for 1946 ; Dr. Walter Stevenson, president elect ; Dr. Clarence E. McClelland, vice president ; and Dr. William F. Hubble, secretary-treasurer.
