The Treacher Collins Prize Essay.
—Under this title, the Council of the Ophthalmological Society of the United Kingdom has instituted a prize of £100, awarded triennially, for the best essay submitted on a subject selected by the council.The prize shall be open to qualified medical practitioners of any nationality.The essay shall be written in the English language.The subject for the next award of the prize is "Nutritional Eye Disease."The closing date for sending in essays for this award is Dec. 31, 1947. Essays should be submitted to the honorary secretary, Ophthalmological Society of the United Kingdom, 5 Racquet Court, Fleet Street, E.C. 4, London, from whom also any further particulars can be obtained. No name should be on any essay, but a distinguishing pseudonym or quotation should be used. This should also appear on a sealed envelope containing the candidate's name and address. This
