This book deals with the mathematical optics of contact glasses. The book is divided into two sections, a theoretic and a practical. The latter is not so well developed as it might be and, since it is written in German, will not appeal to many practicing ophthalmologists. The theoretic section, on the other hand, is done with the usual German thoroughness. The book is recommended to those who are interested in the optics of contact glasses.
