Home Study Courses.
—The 1957-1958 Home Study Courses in the basic sciences related to ophthalmology and otolaryngology, which are offered as a part of the educational program of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology, will begin on Sept. 1 and continue for a period of 10 months. Detailed information and application forms can be secured from Dr. William L. Benedict, the executive secretary-treasurer of the Academy, 15 Second St. S. W., Rochester, Minn. Registrations should be completed before Aug. 15.
Orthoptic Training Available.
—The Ohio State University, Department of Ophthalmology will begin the next orthoptic course in September, 1957. This is an intensive nine-month program, combining basic science and practical work. No fees are charged, but the student must support herself during the training period. Inquiries should be directed to Dr. William H.
