For those who read Italian this is a well-written account of the pathology of the eye caused by diabetes. The material is divided into chapters on an anatomical basis, detailing the effects of diabetes on the various eye structures, and separate chapters in which disturbances of function are described, e. g., the ocular adnexa; the cornea, iris, and retina, and light sense, changes in refraction, and ocular tension. The illustrations are good, although not many are original.
