To the Editor:
—Your November issue contained an article on "School Vision Testing" written by Dr. Sloane. It is imperative that such a committee be formed as soon as possible. We are continually finding opposition to our claims and, frequently, research needs to be done. With such a committee, research could be started, coordinated, evaluated, and publicized. The school educators, health officers, and nurses certainly are aware of this problem, as well as many ophthalmologists.Dr. Sloane is certainly the leader in this field and should be encouraged to form a national committee such as he has recommended.
