To the Editor:
—One of my patients is going to spend her vacation in Egypt. She has wondered about the advisability of continuing to wear her contact lenses while there because of the prevalence of trachoma. My personal hunch is that if she is careful to wash her hands before handling her lenses she should get along safely, but I would be very much interested to know what you think about this.
