This book is an impressive compilation of approximately 13,000 definitions pertaining to ophthalmology. Its 61 contributors were drawn chiefly from optomerty but include 5 ophthalmologists and a number of Ph.D.'s representing diverse fields in the visual sciences. Providing an easy source of reference for words, terms, laws, eponyms and syndromes, it should be a valuable addition to the ophthalmologist's library.
