In the preface it is stated that the primary purpose of this book is to present the fundamentals of otolaryngology to the nonspecialist. This it does most admirably. The ophthalmologist will not find much discussion of our mutual problems such as the relationship of nasal and sinus pathology to ocular disease, the management of orbital floor fracture, or the handling of mucoceles which invade the orbit.
