Dr. Sparks' letter was referred to Dr. Kirsch who offers the following reply:
To the Editor: I wish to thank Dr. Sparks for calling my attention to the reference by F. Galindes Iglesias in 1960 to the transitory ocular hypertension which occurred with the use of α-chymotrypsin. I think that this earlier reference should be recorded.
