This well-printed volume deals with a European symposium on strabismus, held in Parma, Italy, on April 25 and 26, 1964. Papers were presented by J. François, and G. Verriest, R. Hugonnier, P. Matteucci, and C. Cüppers on the following subjects: visual function in strabismic amblyopia, therapeutic indications in the A and V syndromes, the early binocular treatment of eccentric fixation, and the influence of motor factors in eccentric fixation.
The remainder of the book contains a fascinating and valuable round-table discussion on clinical and therapeutic problems of strabismus in the form of questions answered by a number of Europe's outstanding experts.
