Volume 19 of the Fortschritte der Augen-heilkunde contains the following: "Cryosurgery" by K. Rubenstein is a comprehensive review describing developments in the use of cryosurgery for cataract extraction, retinal detachment, and intraocular tumors. It is the only article written in English.
"Principes et methodes de l'enregistrement des mouvements oculaires chez l'homme" by M. Jeannerod is an original paper in which the principles and methods of recording ocular movements in man are discussed. Included is a description of the author's method of electro-oculography and its application. No mention is made of Breinin's studies in this field.
"Beitrag zur Abbildungstheorie korrigierter achsensymmetrischer und astigmatischer Augen" by J. Reiner is a highly technical presentation which includes many diagrams and mathematical formulas. It is intriguing and involved.
"Altersbeziehungen der Augenverletzungen" by F. Müller includes a classification according to age of ocular injuries seen at the Eye Clinic of the Medical Academy in Dresden during
