Abstract

A case of retinal angiomatosis was successfully treated by means of cryotherapy using a triple freeze-thaw cycle. Destruction of the tumors and the surrounding choroidal and retinal vessels was effected with no operative complications. The tumors have not recurred 16 months after therapy. Previous diathermy in the other eye had resulted in almost complete loss of vision.
