Abstract

Because of the multiple procedures described for various types of ptosis as well as conflicting advice given by specialists in the field, ptosis surgery has always been confusing to the neophyte surgeon. Dr. Beard's excellently illustrated and clearly written book is a real contribution to ophthalmic surgical literature. The procedures which have stood the test of time are described fully, but the author singles out those which have been most effective in his hands.
