The Third Congress of the European Society of Ophthalmology was held in Amsterdam on June 18 to 21, 1968, to discuss problems arising from occupational and medicative hazards in ophthalmology. There are 21 main papers which describe such different occupational hazards as pesticides and ultrasound, as well as ocular changes resulting from various medications. In the 62 free papers, there is good coverage of ocular pathology of iatrogenic origin. In addition, there are many articles on ocular injuries.
Although this publication does not lend itself to a detailed review, it is recommended as one of timely interest. Over one half the papers are in English.
