To the Editor.
—I am indeed extremely sorry that we missed Dr. Rubin's excellent article. It would have helped us in making a more definitive diagnosis, had we gotten the anti-A and anti-B titers.I completed the literature search in the latter part of 1968, about the time Dr. Rubin's article was published. Because of the rigors of starting a new practice, it was several months before our manuscript was completed and submitted. I felt that the likelihood of any new data on this unusual subject being published during those intervening few months was infinitesimal! It is obvious that I should not have gambled on this latter point. As always, hindsight is 20/20!
