—We should like to comment that clinical as well as serologic evaluation of the children reported revealed no evidence of hereditary enzyme deficiency diseases. At no time during their clinical course did they have any further indication of such diseases. In addition, it should be pointed out that the metabolic deficiency diseases noted by Dr. Lewin would not present as clinical autism.
