Congenital Absence of the Inferior Rectus Muscle

A case, the eighth one ever reported, of congenital absence of the inferior rectus muscle as an isolated finding, is described, and the literature is reviewed. The patient was operated upon using the technique for correcting double elevator paralysis, and the result is presented.
