The author presents an excellent and comprehensive review of basic information on visual levels, the types of amblyopia, and the incidence of amblyopia in the strabismic patients.

The section on diagnosis includes useful descriptions of clinical tests for differentiation of functional and organic amblyopia.

All types of therapy are discussed from conventional occlusion to the more sophisticated pleoptic techniques.

This is a very useful book, although the price would prevent its acquisition by beginning orthoptic students.
