Dr. Henry F. Allen Resigns as Chief of Ophthalmology.
—Henry F. Allen, MD, resigned as Chief of Ophthalmology at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, as of Jan 1, 1973. He continues as Henry Willard Williams Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology and head of the Department of Ophthalmology at the Harvard Medical School. A search committee has been appointed to fill the combined offices held by Dr. Allen and David G. Cogan, MD, director of the Howe Laboratory of Ophthalmology. Dr. Cogan's retirement will become effective in July 1974.Charles D. J. Regan, MD, has been appointed Acting Chief of Ophthalmology at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. Dr. Regan is Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the Harvard Medical School.
